This lecture examines two influential models of Maqasid Thought through the works of Ahmad Al-Raysuni and Jasser Auda. It explores Maqasid both as a Shariah-based methodology for legal reasoning and as a broader intellectual framework for:

Fazwee Nawaz
Sheikh Fazwee Zahaa is a graduate of Islamic Studies from Naleemiah Institute of Islamic Studies, Sri Lanka, and holds a degree in Social Sciences from the Open University of Sri Lanka. He has received specialized training in Islamic sciences, the Arabic language, and contemporary Islamic thought.

Current Position:
Currently, he serves as a Research Assistant in the fields of Islamic Studies and Humanities, contributing to academic research and scholarly projects.
