Revelation-Centered Learning for Life, Professional Leadership & Scholarship

Maqasid Institute offers a connected educational portfolio that partner institutions can deliver, integrate, or adapt for different audiences—from public learners to professionals and advanced researchers. Across the portfolio, the Qur’an and Sunnah are engaged as sources of knowledge, orientation, and methodology for contemporary life, professional practice, and scholarship.

Why this portfolio

Why MI offers multiple levels of learning

MI’s educational model is designed for audiences with different purposes and levels of engagement. Some learners seek to reconnect Revelation with everyday life; professionals need sustained pathways for applying a Revelation-centered framework within their fields; and scholars require deeper methodological preparation for research and knowledge production.

01 · PUBLIC

Connect Revelation with everyday life

General Education creates an accessible entry point for learners seeking to relate Qur’anic and Prophetic guidance to contemporary questions and daily life.

02 · PROFESSIONALS

Apply Revelation within professional fields

Microcredentials provide professionals with sustained study that connects epistemological grounding, ethical purpose, disciplinary questions, and applied practice.

03 · SCHOLARS

Develop Revelation-centered scholarship

Graduate Studies equips researchers and advanced learners with Maqasid-based methodological tools for critical engagement with Revelation, scholarship, and contemporary disciplines.

04 · INSTITUTIONS

Move from learning to activation

Across the portfolio, MI connects learning with collaboration and application through its Educate → Collaborate → Activate framework.

Our educational approach

Purposefulness. Connectivity. Holism.

Across all levels, the higher objectives of Revelation (Maqāṣid Al-Waḥy) provide the shared intellectual foundation for how learners understand, connect, evaluate, and apply knowledge.

◎

Purposefulness

Ask what higher purposes should guide understanding, judgment, and action.

⌘

Connectivity

Examine relationships among Revelation, disciplines, phenomena, people, institutions, and consequences.

◯

Holism

Bring the parts of a question or field into a coherent worldview rather than treating knowledge as isolated fragments.

EducateBuild conceptual, methodological, and disciplinary understanding.
CollaborateConnect learners, scholars, and practitioners around questions and real-life phenomena.
ActivateTranslate learning into research, strategy, education, leadership, institutional practice, and community action.
Portfolio architecture

Three levels serving different educational purposes

The portfolio is intentionally tiered. Each level serves a different audience, depth of study, and intended outcome while remaining connected through the same Revelation-centered educational approach.

For institutional partners

What partners can access through MI

The portfolio is designed to be used flexibly: as stand-alone learning, as professional pathways, or—where appropriate—as components within a partner institution’s own academic and professional programs.

01

Ready-designed postgraduate courses

Eleven foundational and specialized postgraduate courses that can be offered individually or considered for integration within a partner’s existing programs.

02

Four developed 18-credit Microcredentials

Each pathway combines five integrated postgraduate courses with a Capstone Project and is designed for professionals and institutional leaders.

03

Community-facing General Education

Ten short Revelation-centered Thinking and Living (RTL) courses that enable partners to extend learning beyond postgraduate audiences into the wider community.

04

Faculty and delivery support

Programs are supported by MI scholars, curriculum and learning-design expertise, academic advising, online-learning capacity, and technical delivery support.

Credit and recognition: MI structures its postgraduate courses around a three-credit-hour workload. Where courses are delivered for academic credit, the partner institution awards and recognizes that credit under its own quality-assurance and accreditation procedures.
Flagship professional pathway

Postgraduate Microcredentials

18-credit Postgraduate Certificate pathways for professional and institutional application

MI’s developed Microcredentials are structured postgraduate professional pathways available for institutional partnership. Each combines five integrated courses with a Capstone Project, enabling participants to connect Revelation-centered foundations with sustained application in a specific field.

Why this format matters Microcredentials provide a bridge between short-form learning and full graduate study.

They are designed for professionals and institutional leaders who need more than an introductory course, while remaining focused on a defined field of practice and culminating in applied work.
